The Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers of the Philippines, Western Region Chapter, Saudi Arabia unites with other GCC chapters at the 4th IECEP GCC SUMMIT held on September 15-16, 2017 at Dubai, UAE. The event was participated by seven GCC Chapters from Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, KSA Eastern, Central and Western Region and of course the host chapter from UAE.
The Convention theme was in sync with IECEP National “Enhancing the Capability of Globally Competitive Electronics Professionals”.
IECEP KSA-WRC arrived early for the registration. The group was able to meet fellow professionals from various chapters in GCC. The event started around 9am beginning with Entrance of Colors, followed by the parade of IECEP chapter governors and national officers and other delegates from the Philippines. A warm welcome address was given by Engr. Analiza T. Binondo (IECEP UAE Governor). Inspirational messages were given by notable delegates such as Engr. Jethroefel E. Ramboyong (IECEP UAE Founding Governor), Engr. Ronald Esguerra (IECEP UAE Immediate Former Governor), Dr. Alnar L. Detalla (Chairman of the board of Electronics Engineering), Dr. Rosula San Jose-Reyes (IECEP National President), and H.E. Constancio Vingno, Jr. (Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to UAE).
Six Technical Seminars were conducted on the first day.
In the evening, there was the GALA night dinner, a “Masquerade Ball Party” where each chapter presented an special intermission. Our very own President Engr. Lambert C. Reyes performed on stage, together with Dr. Alnar Detalla on guitars and Dr. Rosula San Jose Reyes. Everyone enjoyed the evening. The following day, five technical seminars were conducted with respected speakers from various GCC chapters. The turnover of the GCC Convention Host for 2018 was given to IECEP-KSA CRC who immediately announced the venue of the 2018 IECEP GCC Convention to be in Oman.
The closing remarks were given by Engr. Ronald Esguerra (4th IECEP GCC Summit Convention chairman). Group photos were then taken afterwards. IECEP KSA-WRC would like to congratulate and thank IECEP UAE for a very successful convention.
