Basic Programming of HMI (Human Machine Interface)

 

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia- Western Region Chapter conducted its 2nd seminar entitled “Basic Programming of HMI (Human Machine Interface)”.

The seminar was held on 20th of November at La Parilla Restaurant, Jeddah KSA and was attended by 54 participants who were excited to learn the technicalities behind the Basic Programming of HMI.

The program precede similarly as the 1st seminar, starting with the invocation from Engr. Aldy N. Dagook followed by the welcome address of IECEP-KSA-WRC 2015 President Engr. Jan Faraj Sulaiman Haddad, and introduction of our resource speaker for “Basic Programming of HMI (Human Machine Interface)”, Engr. Elmer I. Augusto.

The 1st part of the seminar was a recap of the Basic Design and Principles of PLC Operations to bring the new comers up to speed whilst refreshing the minds of the previous attendees. Engr. Elmer Augusto just did a quick run through.

He then proceeded with a discussion on the seminar proper topic which is with regards to the HMI. After the long discussion, a 30-minute lunch break was given for the participants to enjoy the buffet that was prepared and served at the venue.

The 2nd half of the seminar was the hands-on workshop activity. He demonstrated the HMI programming and link the connection with the PLC operations. He ensured that every attendee understood the programming examples before proceeding to next topic.

The speaker displayed his mastery on the subject as he answered the queries from the participants.

All the officers were present that day and carried out their specific roles absolutely which resulted in the smooth conduct of the event. The Technical Seminar was then concluded, and plaques & certificates of appreciation were handed over to the resource speaker and attendees were given their certificates. After all the certificates were handed over, a group picture was taken.
