The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia- Western Region Chapter conducted a seminar entitled “Basic Design and Principle of Operation of PLC” to commence its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity for year 2015.
The seminar was held on 13th of November at La Parilla Restaurant, Jeddah KSA and was well attended by 40 participants who were excited to learn the technicalities behind the PLC operations.
The program preceded with an invocation from Engr. Aldy N. Dagook, then followed by the welcome address of IECEP-KSA-WRC 2015 President Engr. Jan Faraj Sulaiman Haddad. After hearing the words from the President, our resource speaker for “Basic Design and Principle of Operation of PLC”, Engr. Elmer I. Augusto was introduced.
The first part of the seminar was about the theory and concepts behind Design and Principles of PLC Operations. Engr. Elmer I. Augusto discussed elaborated then concepts sharing his capabilities & familiarity on the subject matter.
After the first part of the seminar, a short break was given and a sumptuous lunch buffet was prepared for the participants to indulge.
The second part of his seminar was a hands-on workshop activity. The speaker demonstrated the PLC operations through programming and ensured that every attendee understood the examples given before moving on the next topic.
The speaker display his mastery on the subject and he was able to answer questions from participants in simplistic manner.
The IECEP officers were spread out with their specific tasks to ensure that the seminar proceeds smoothly and as planned. The 1st Technical Seminar was concluded, and plaques & certificates of appreciation to the resource speaker and attendees were given respectively. The event concluded with the photo below.
